I am a big fan of the springfield line of 1911's and especially the WWII 1911A1 which comes with a parkerized finish. Makes is very easy to put a new finish on it. This is one of my personal firearms, so it is not for sale, but I like wanted to show off some of the improvements made to the original design. First, the beavertail has been replaced, the MillSpec trigger and hammer also have been replaced. Springfield doesn't sell the beavertail seperately, so I played with it for a while, and the Colt style will fit after a little work. Finished the receiver in desert Tan, and the slide with matte black. Looks and fires awsome. I also put a Wilson Combat Ambi Safety on it as well. Let me know if you want me to do a springfield for anyone out there! |
